More random musings

I've been offered overtime this weekend. Question is shall I do it? I have been somewhat disillusioned at work as of late but then again none of the powers that be shall be around and it does mean extra money, although by the time tax is deducted is it worth my while? That makes me sound very spoilt but I'm not, my weekends are very precious to me and the very thought of ever having a job that involves shift work makes me shudder.

K is off on a stag do this weekend and I don't really have a lot planned. I should have had some foresight and used the opportunity to have a crazy weekend. The Manchester Food and Drink Festival kicks off tomorrow. I'm going to check out the website after I write this to see what's happening. I have applied for tickets for the Co-op Wine Tasting which I saw advertised elsewhere which is next week I believe.

I shall definitely be listening to our two new album purchases this wknd by The Killers and Jet, maybe whilst reading the weekend papers and quaffing fresh coffee and a chocolate croissant.....mmmm roll on the weekend.

I just read that Lily Allen went to the exclusive private school, Bedales.... well I never. It all goes back to the Pulp Song really doesn't it, what's is called, aarrgh, can't think of the song name, anyway the one where the girl wants to live with common people - oh that's it, "common people" is the song name. Why does she want to pretend to be a common chav when she's well heeled and could probably buy what she wants? The floaty frocks got her started but now she can move on, lucky mare. I'm only jealous. I was searching for frocks on the net the other day for a black tie dinner wedding do I have in January and I saw the dress of my dreams. Only thing is I then noticed it was by Alexander McQueen and then that it cost a cool £4,250!!!!! Can't you do a collaboration with H&M like Stella McCartney did Mr McQueen so the likes of me can afford your stuff?

Right, I'm off to Sanctus now. I was going to have a peek in the shops before wandering down but decided to save my money and write this instead because I'm in the mood to spend money which I shouldn't spend.
