Cheesecake

In a fit of domesticity last night, I made Nigella's "London Cheesecake", last night. I have to say my topping did not come out as perfect as the one opposite but its the taste that counts I say.

Unlike me, don't undertake such a task at 7 pm in the evening. Its defo a weekend baker. Out of frustration and impatience that it was not cooling down quickly enough for me to eat it, I took it out of the tin earlier than I should have, thus cracking off some of the cake! Boy did it taste good though, especially the slice I had for my elevenses at work today.

In the cheesecake stakes though, I would say it is a bit on the custardy side for my tastes, although easily beats the supermarket efforts by a long way. I will go back to my fave cheesecake recipe next time, Nigel Slater's Fruit Crumble Cheesecake. This is simply divine and one of K's favourite desserts of all time, which says a lot.
