Happy Summer Times

I so didn't want to come home from London last night but having thought I would be rather depressed tonight I've actually enjoyed being in the garden tonight after work, eating dinner with K, wearing my new vintage dress purchase from London, enjoying a bottle of wine, reading a paragraph of my book, listening to a Norman Jay 'Good Times' CD mega loud as our neighbours are away and musing on why God created the earth! Happy Summer Times!

We rediscovered the vibrant, buzzing, creative, colourful and energetic area of Shoreditch at the weekend and boy has the regeneration been marching on since we moved north. This whole area is so diverse - encompassing the city types in their suits around Liverpool street during the day to the arty and dare I say, trendy types at night and whom entirely take over at the weekend. There's the markets, street art, vintage shops, great bars & restaurants and we visited the fantastic
Graduate Art & Design Summer Shows which are exhibiting for the next 8 weeks in various venues throughout The Old Truman Brewery, which nestles between Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane. I've tried to upload a piccie of Banksy's car which I sighted but no joy...it fails to upload.

I have so much to say and was rambling on rather but I just hit the delete button as such musings are of interest to only myself! I'll leave it that we did so much this wknd in a short while - catching up with friends, partying, exploring, walking, sunning oneself, wining and dining, creating, thinking, watching, laughing, more walking, sharing, dancing, loving, just being ........... think you get the picture.

I left on such a high and even XFM London, obviously sensing my mood, played fabulously decent tunes on the drive out of London including 'Boy from School' by 'Hot Chip' and 'Take California' by 'Capella Heads'.

Gotta go and watch the last in the series of ER now. Bye J x
