Checking in.

Hey there, been off work on holiday this week which you would have thought might have made me log on the net even more than usual but the reverse is true. Weather has been a bit crap so haven't done any walking as planned and done a lot of pottering and general mooching about. Been to cinema, had lunches, hair cut, dentist, naughty afternoon drinks, reading and hope to make it to Manchester Art Gallery this arvo. Generally been a lady of leisure but without the shopping bit. Met up with a couple of Seaming's girlie mates for cinema and quick dinner which was lovely.

Last Saturday K and I had a picnic in the Peaks and were on route to Chatsworth house when our mate, Matt phoned and said he had spare V festival vip tickets....kooewl. So, of course we hot footed it back to Manchester to meet his girlfriend, Rachel and made it to the festival in time to watch Franz Ferdinand and the Scissor Sisters....yay. Felt a bit guilty though as we got our tickets via the band he is working with, Nine Black Alps and their slot clashed with the Scissor Sisters.

Going to London tonight though, primarily for carnival at the weekend. Staying with the ever lovely Mo and Jeanniene.

Cleaning and sorting the spare bedroom at the mo, as my mum and step-dad are staying over Monday night before flying out of Mcr Airport early Tuesday. We shall be like thieves in the night as our train doesn't get back from London until 1 am and she leaves at 5 am!
