St Paddy's Day
Its gonna be a wknd of crazy partying and I can't wait for work to end for the merriment to commence. Quite a contrast to last weekend really when I did nothing much at all.
I am meeting K straight from work to hit a bar or two and grab food before we go to our friend's house party tonight. Then tomorrow we have a wedding blessing at our church followed by another house party to celebrate the wedding/house warming/groom's 30th as well as St Paddy's Day (the groom is Irish). Will be lovely to see them in their gorgeous wedding regalia again....not many brides get to wear their dress again and I am green with envy, although that is well disguised as I am wearing green today!
Will I be swung around to the idea of drinking the foul black stuff? I don't think so, no matter how much you try.
New song running around in my head
Btw, I have a new song in my head this week - can't think of the title but its by Hard-Fi. Its great as for about the past month or something ridiculous, I have been humming Jack Johnson's Banana Pancakes song each and every morning at work. That said, I still love that song, so it has to be be good. Now I'm humming (and sometimes air drumming) Hard-Fi every morning. Not sure how long this one will last.....pleeeeease let it be something different soon as I like this song and don't want it to be subject to the usual overkill that comes with hearing something too much

I've had Diana Ross's 'I'm Coming Out' going round in my head all day, and I don't mind because it's quite a cheery song. Except it was sampled for Notorious BIG's 'Mo Money Mo Problems', which just annoys me.
So when I hear the intro in my head, it could be the Diana Ross version or the Biggie version, resulting in me having a happy / annoyed day, depending on which version my brain opts for.
I didn't make Stephen and Ruth's house party, which is also annoying, but I've had so many errands to do, I've run out of time. So I'm going clubbing instead. If they play Hard Fi, I'll let you know, but it's unlikely.
I did wonder where you got to yesterday...you were missed!
I haven't heard the Notorious BIG version, or if I have it hasn't registered. Great songs get shredded to tatters by bad sample usage, so I can well understand your annoyance.
Btw I liked that second song you played in communion at the Wedding Blessing....haunting. What tune was it?
