Went Cheesing Dancing for Sarah's birthday on Friday. Stop press.....stop press..... the legend of K actually got on the dance floor! To 80's music! Of his own accord! Like E says here, the Aqua Bar was decidely ropey but we didn't care and had a right good laugh dancing to Chesney, Michael Jackson, Jackson Five, Madonna, Van Morrison, Michael Jackson et al but no Abba's Dancing Queen (my anthem with good friend Mel)!!!!
Went to two birthday bbqs yesterday, first popping in to the said mentioned Sarah's house in the afternoon and then the evening at our friends, Diane & Mike's in Whalley Range. Was nice just relaxing, sitting under a tree, playing boules, eating many a sausage and people watching (espec. Diane & Mike's charismatic actor friends).
My only gripe is that I didn't have any birthday cake and I looooove birthday cake! I severely resisted the temptation to cut around the outside of Sarah's cake and eat that, thus making a smaller cake.....surely no-one would have noticed if I did that, would they? Diane didn't want cake. She made a request for champagne instead and we all sang happy birthday and toasted her by quaffing back champagne.
